Help
How kulijul works, step by step.
Getting started
Sign in with email, Google, or Apple. With email, we send a verification message, and you confirm it before you continue.
Then create your first profile. A profile is the identity that owns wishes and events and makes reservations.
Profiles
One account can have up to 10 profiles, each with its own name. If you have more than one, the app asks which to use every time you open it. It never remembers your last choice.
Profile names don't have to be unique, and people who can see a profile can also see the email address of its account.
Wishes
Open the Wishes tab and choose Add wish. Give it a name and, if you like, a description, a link, and a photo. Photos are scaled down on your phone before they upload, and they stay private.
Others can see a wish only through an event you've shared it with. You can edit or delete a wish at any time.
Events
Create an event with a name, a date and time, and a time zone. Invite people by email. They get an invitation they can accept or decline, and they accept as the profile they choose.
The owner created the event and always manages it. Admins can invite people and change roles. Members take part: they share wishes and make reservations.
When an event has passed, its wishes and reservations become read-only.
Reservations
Members reserve a wish through an event. Everyone else who can see the wish sees that it's reserved, but never by whom. The wish's owner, and anyone on the owner's account, sees nothing.
After you've bought the gift, mark the reservation as Bought. Only you can see that. Use Remove reservation if you change your mind, any time before the event has passed.
Groups
If several wishes are really the same gift, put them in one group: open a wish and choose Join a group. Only one wish in a group can be reserved, so nobody buys it twice. Copy the group code to hand it to someone else.
A wish can join a group only while it isn't shared with any event. Choose Leave group to start a new one.
Notifications
You get a push notification for an event invitation, a new comment in an event you're a member of, a reserved wish its owner has edited, and a reservation that's no longer available. Wish owners are never told anything about reservations.
Your data
On the Profile tab, choose Export my data to save or share everything as a file. There you can also delete a profile, or your whole account. Deleting is permanent.
